Refurbishment and roof extension
We obtained planning approval to extend and refurbish this attractive former warehouse building behind Kingsland Road in Hackney. A combination of metal panels used at ground level gives an industrial feel to befit the building and context. The new roof extension is also be clad in metal panels and have large windows to benefit from the height and long views over the railway. Seen from the adjacent tracks the addition will be sharp-lined and play well against its worn and aged, but still dignified host.
