Jade Appleton
Jade Appleton,
Part 2 Architectural Assistant BSc(Hons) Architecture University of BathMArch Architecture TU Delft Jade had been a part of Cooley Architects since 2014. She was at first a Part 1 assistant after her bachelor’s degree in Architecture at the University of Bath. After moving to the Netherlands to complete her Masters, she has returned to the practice as a Part 2 architectural assistant. Jade’s studies in the Netherlands took a broader path toward urbanism, as well as landscape architecture giving her larger overviews of projects within the built environment and the different ways to approach them. Studying in the man-made country of the Netherlands showed the many innovative possibilities we have to shape our environments around us. Her studies took her to Honduras for her thesis researching the land use on the northern coast and the possibilities for urbanisation and development within the country. Loving the culture there, she has since been back to travel and work, but now is back to London to learn more about architecture in practice. In her spare time, Jade likes to read on her long train rides to the office and paint in her weekends. She is always keen to travel and find a great beach to lie on! Jade has moved on to further her career in a new direction and she will be missed. We wish her all the luck in the next stage of her journey.
