Nicola Blincow

Nicola Blincow,

Part 2 Architectural Assistant

BSc(Hons) Architecture

MArch Architecture

Nicola joined Cooley Architects as a Part 1 placement student in 2014, following the completion of a bachelor’s degree in Architecture at the University of Bath. Since then she has continually worked for the practice whilst completing her Masters in Architecture at Newcastle University and has recently returned to the office.

The majority of Nicola’s youth was spent in Dubai, where she witnessed it’s rise from desert to city. Growing up abroad has resulted in her having a fascination for traveling and experiencing different cultures across the globe. During her Masters she had the opportunity to go on two field trips to Zanzibar, which allowed her to produce in depth studies and architectural proposals that explored the impact of design on an economic, political and social front.

Nicola has previously worked on a number of residential projects at both a small and large scale. She is keen to continue working in the residential sector and work on projects which socially engage with the community. Originally from the west coast of Scotland, she enjoys spending out of office hours travelling to the countryside and keeping active by playing basketball or going running. She also enjoys cooking various vegetarian delights, baking and photography.
Nicola has now left the team to travel a little more and pursue her career. We wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours.
