Charlie Clayton

Charlie Clayton,

Charlie graduated from a Bachelors course in Architecture at the University of Bath in July 2016, following three years of studio-based design work, industrial placement in Brighton, and a year at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) studying under Jakob Van Rijs of MVRDV among other professors.

Charlie joined Cooley Architects in September, and is enjoying working on a variety of hands-on projects, broadening his experience in many aspects of practice. After his experience here he aims to move back to France or Germany and continue his training.

Charlie enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing different architectural styles and cultures. He also enjoys undertaking small personal projects in his free time, drawing or making things. Charlie aims to bring this creative energy and enthusiasm into his work at Cooley Architects and looks forward to working on many more projects.

In his spare time, Charlie enjoys eating and fantasising about food, and is an avid cyclist whatever the weather be it on rainy Monday morning commutes or long rides on the Downs.
Charlie has now left the team to travel a little more and pursue his career abroad. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
