Aoife O'Donoghue

Aoife O'Donoghue,

Aoife completed her Part 1 and graduated from the University of Bath in July 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture. After her placement at Cooley Architects, she will return to Bath to do her Masters in February 2017.

With an Irish and Paraguayan background, and having lived in Hungary, Belgium, India and the UK, Aoife appreciates the importance of culture and the architectural identity it has within.
Aoife's final year project was centred around the encouragement of cultural re-integration in a small Welsh town. This originated from her interest in the social and cultural aspect of architecture and its effect on human experience.

Aside from architecture, Aoife enjoys skiing and running. One of her main achievements was completing the Bath Half Marathon last year, and since then she has entered a couple of other races.

In her spare time, Aoife likes to spend her time exploring and discovering new things, whether it's time spent at exhibitions, restaurants or just walking down city streets. She views architecture to be so diverse in the proposals that can be made, as well as the inspirations that lie beneath them.

Aoife is looking forward to exploring the area around The Barbican as well as getting involved in a range of different projects at Cooley Architects.

Since working with Cooley Architects, Aoife had extensive involvement with several large projects. Aoife has now left the Cooley team and gone on to further her studies. We wish Aoife all the best for the future.
